A few weeks ago, a creator reached out to me asking for an editor. He was willing to pay good money, but every editor he'd worked with: - Was missing deadlines - Needed tons of revisions - And delivered a shit video after all that I connected this creator with @Botond Kranitz and he crushed it https://x.com/BotondEditing/status/2040759606146650342 Shoutout Boti and this right here is why I do what I do. If you you're not happy with the clients you have, the issue is ALWAYS your skill. Been thinking more and more about this recently... The bigger mission of FTE is to make the lives of editors, creators AND viewers better. Editors go full-time Creators save 10+ hours a week on revisions Viewers watch videos that were edited for them, not for twitter highlights Win-win-win 3️⃣ FTE 2.0 launch party 🥳 Right now rebuilding FTE to make that mission and vision come true. This building stage is not glorious... I'm basically in my room trying to understand why I make certain decisions while editing. And how to teach this decision-making process to other editors in an easy-to-understand and easy-to-implement way. The formative period in my editing journey was September 2023 – April 2024, where all I was thinking about all day long was editing. $2k → $8k/month in 9 months by getting better. The problem is that most editors stuck at $1-2k don't know HOW to get better. This is where Creative Director Shift™ comes in.
