So I didn't get the position, purely for political reasons. The main one being my signing and affiliation with Leek Town FC who perform at step 3 level of the league pyrimid in the Northern Premiere league - premiere division. The team I trialed for were local regional Sunday league. My feedback was that the other players found me too involved and commanding. They believed I took the match far too seriously for the type of league they perform at. Which I can understand when I am shouting commands down the field and the other players just haven't got a clue how to react, as I am used to a more responsive flow of gameplay. They already have a keeper but his knowledge and ability of game-set-plan was far lower than mine, which made for an uneven match of which the other players weren't happy with. So let's put it this way, I didn't just smash the trial, I absolutely destroyed it! The experience was fantastic though and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

So I had my trial at Willaston Whitestar FC today and it went really well, the game/training session was very compact and tight and the ground was solid as rock but I made afew saves, and if I don't mind me saying I made a save very similar to Gordan Banks did against Pele (Brazil) in 1970, ball was crossed in and an attacker headed it and I saved it! Not sure yet if I've got the position yet but fingers crossed. PS does anyone know if DW40 sell consumables drinks? A gallon would be very welcome as I'm aching massively!

I have a trial this Tuesday 23rd at a club in a league that plays full pitch, full rules, ref, officials ect and my calf is alot better, should be 100% for then. Fingers crossed I get the position 🤞
