What I learned from Amanda Khayat podcast ( recommended by Sir Nabeel Azeez) PART 2 ( kinda Summary )
🎓Biggest problem in running ad operations : It is hard to find people who are good at writing ad . And the hardest part is there is lack of people who are good both at writing copy and lead and train the team . 🎓Expectations from a good copy leader inside the team : 1. He needs to explain and share his thinking process while writing the ads . 2.He must be able to teach how to review and control ads . 3. He must give feedback on the pieces of copy the team writes . (Amanda herself works with people who run their operations . She manages all and personally trains the team members .) 🎓Does negative feedback work ? Amanda says when you tell someone while reviewing copy that “ you are bad “ and you don't show them how to improve ; that doesn’t help the person . He needs more guidance , not just criticism. 🎓Qualified copywriter must have three abilities: 1.They must understand how the market works 2.Real experience and results 3.Teaching ability . It means they must have the ability to teach others in a simple language what he has learned . 🎓Experience doesn't mean many years : Amanda says “ intensity distorts time “. If someone is very focused and work hard , he can get deep knowledge faster . Experience doesn't mean ten years . One must have the fire in belly to learn and implement more. 🎓First step to learning ad copy . How to analyze a market . This means spy work and study ads that are already running and working . 🎓Spy work means : Just study other people's ads . But the point is don't copy and paste them . The goal should be to understand why they work and what's the hidden structure behind them . 🎓Hidden structure means : Deeper pattern or framework behind a successful ad which is invisible at the surface level . Learn to spot it and replicate it with your own creative spin. Make it new. With fresh angle 🎓What's the next step for a beginner after learning market analysis ? 1.How to write good hooks (to grab attention) 2.How to write the body of an ad

Headline is simple and benefit centred . No complexity . Easy to understand . Opening of this sales copy is full of proof and facts . The line " spent $4,900,000 tracking the results " not only positions David as an expert person in his field but also exposes the lack of tracking systems in businesses .( Pain point) Unique solution : The phrase " 38 things we have learned " is actually a solution to the one problem that " what actually works ?" At the very start , audience begins to feel Safe . Trust develops . Reader is curious now and ready to read further . Social proof : names of brands the agency worked with like Mercedes, Hathaway, Rolls Royce make the reader want the same results for them. They are already sold. The copy answers method false beliefs by giving example right on the spot . As one point or objection is" long form copy doesn't work " . David answer this by saying the ad you are reading is 1909 words long . You are reading it and it means long form of copy works . Easy Element : This sales copy removes fear and answers the internal false belief of " I am not creative " by quoting Charles Kettering : " this problem when solved, will be simple ."It reframes creativity as persistence and not talent . 38 unique points . Each point mentions benefit of good advertisment and thus highlights what is lacking in competitors and what David 's agency can do for audience . Data backed claims we see everywhere. Use of quotes by famous people . 38 points make the ad easy to read and scan. This sale copy itself is a short course on headlines and how to make good ads. This reminds me of today's creative strategy boom in the market. Specially when one point says : repeat your winners. It reminds me of term ' iterations ' . Sections with subheadings give sales copy a look of editorial style format. Conversational tone but with authority . Use of metaphors and anologies makes it interesting and doesn't bore us. In English there are some command words . I see use of these words like : Tale to her like a human being . charm her . Make her hungry . Get her to participate.

If you are hand-copying ads from our Legendary Ads Vault, post the photos of your work and write up what copywriting principles you learned from the ad. Respected brother @Nabeel Azeez , I have read the post earlier . But I wanted the noise around me to settle and wanted to sit with a calm heart and clear mind before I replied . Now I am here. I want to thank you . Genuinely. Sincerely. When I read about my premium upgrade , my eyes filled with tears . Tears of Gratitude. This announcement seemed to me like a ray of hope in darkness. ❣️She had seen abundance in her real life. When she entered into a phase of trials and turbulence , she always knew in her mind the wealth was achievable as she had seen in her life like private school , Mercedes , traveling. She tried her best and achieved success . So, as a beginner , I see a lot of success stories around me . I know now that this is real. I just need not to give up and be consistent in my endeavors like Amanda. ❣️Always stay in a problem- solving mode like Amanda . If no computer ; use a cell phone . No job ; join networking groups and be vulnerable. ❣️In the words of Amanda, be ‘shameless’ . Jump in and try to figure out things in real life . ❣️Act the same day as you got an idea . ❣️Amdana made a Whatsapp business account . That's a trick to look more professional even if you have no results . ❣️Amanda left school but she does not suggest others do the same . Only do this when you are ready to take the responsibility of your decisions . But If you have responsibilities, build the new path for yourself while holding the previous one . ❣️Posting content or real life struggles can sometimes lead to the opportunities where you can be a good case study for whoever invests in you . In Amanda’s case , sharing her daily routine led her to opportunities wherever someone in a good position gave her his course for free . ❣️The more you appear ; the more opportunities you can find . Amanda says : "You have to be real. You can't market yourself as someone you're not.” ❣️Showing your process (not just results) is 10x more compelling than showing off. People invest in journeys they can follow. ❣️Her Instagram bio literally said: "I have made zero dollars in the digital market, but I will become a millionaire with it." This was a public declaration . This way she created accountability for herself because now the audience is watching . ❣️I see networking helps Amanda a lot in gaining her initial clients . So join groups . Send DMs . Get rejected. Keep knocking . Soon one door will open and change everything for you.
