The BS Detector: Is This "New Age" or Real Healing?
Let's talk about a question some of you might be thinking: "How can 'breathing and feeling my body' actually heal anything? Isn't that just some new-age BS?" Fair question. In a world of quick fixes, the idea of tuning into your body can sound too simple. But it’s not magic, and it’s not woo - it’s science. Your body isn’t separate from your story, it is your story. Every stressful moment, every early experience of not feeling safe, it’s all stored in your nervous system, your breath, your muscles. That’s why anxiety makes your chest tighten, why conflict ties your stomach in knots, why old trauma leaves you always “on edge.” One client came to me after years of therapy. They’d done all the mindset work, knew all the tools, but still felt hijacked by old patterns. In just a few sessions together, we uncovered a past experience their body had been holding onto for decades. Once they recognized and released it, they finally felt free to enjoy the life they’d built instead of living like the past was still happening. That’s the power of this work - it’s not about fixing you, it’s about freeing you. And here’s the truth: the longer you ignore these signals, the louder they get. I’m offering free calls right now to help people map out what their body’s really been holding onto and how to release it. If that resonates, reach out and we’ll set one up.

3-Minute Morning Arrival Practice
Try this when you start your day. Begin your day by bringing calm, clarity, and confidence into your body and mind with this simple ritual. 1. Set the timer for three minutes. Sit comfortably with both feet on the floor or lie down if that feels better. Close your eyes or soften your gaze. 2. Scan, with your mind, from head to toe. Notice any areas of tension or tightness. Breathe into those spots as you continue to breathe naturally. 3. Anchor your attention on your breath. Inhale through your nose for a count of four. Exhale gently through your mouth for a count of six. Feel the gentle expansion and release in your chest and belly. 4. Invite curiosity. If your mind drifts, simply notice where it went without judgment and return your attention to the breath. Think about your breathing! 5. Seal the practice. When the timer ends, stretch your arms overhead, open your eyes, and take a moment to affirm: “I meet this day with calm, clarity, and confidence.” Share how this practice lands for you in the comments below or journal any shifts you notice. Consistency is the key to rewiring your nervous system. You’ve got this!

How Does Your Body Handle Relationship Stress?
Daily Practice: When tension shows up in your relationships: do you lash out, shut down, go silent, over-explain, or try to fix everything fast? These are all signs your nervous system is trying to protect you. Today, simply notice what your body tends to do when you're upset or uncomfortable around someone you care about. You don’t need to change it, just become aware of it. Prompt: What’s one thing your body does when you feel stressed or hurt in a relationship? Dive Deeper: Use the attached guide, Understanding Your Nervous System States, to help you identify which survival response is activated. Awareness is the first step to lasting change. Wonderful share ,Josh. I love the insights especially that my nervous system is trying to protect me. I will be more aware and take a deeper dive, breath and ask what my body is trying to tell me. I think I freeze/tense up is my first response 😅
