@Bob Sun "Does "in the office" also work? Which preposition is more commonly used for office, "in" or "at"?" IN the office: The thinking is you are IN the room, in that space called office. AT the office: The thinking is AT the workplace. You may or may not be in the room itself.

__ DDM 973 Question __
JERRY What was that? GEORGE I think I had some hard candy in there. "Can we use present tense "have" here? If so, does it give the meaning in this sentence?" @Bob Sun Right after George crushes the candy a sound can be heard thus Jerry's question. At that point, the fitting usage is HAD (That hard candy could not handle George's bone density) 😉

DDM 972 -- Question --
@Bob Sun Pronunciation questions are best tackled in audio/video format. I will point out though: LAUNCH (launch): AW as in 'law' CH as in 'cheap' MALFUNCTION (malfunction): Prefix MAL: Short A as in 'gal' MALE (male): Long A as in 'kale'

Thank you @Coach Miguel for the great answer as always! May I ask a follow-up question? The difference between "launch" and "lunch" is AW vs. Short U, right? Launch: L + AW + N + Ch Lunch: L + SU + N + Ch
