Did you know that when you're building a webpage that what looks good on desktop (laptop) might need adjusted before publishing for mobile? Before you publish a new webpage or a modified webpage, do yourself a favor and look at a preview of the mobile display. Your system should allow you to format separately for mobile.

Annual Planning For Founders: 7 a.m. EST Wednesday
Join tomorrow's Coffee Chat. (Not at Level 3, start commenting on posts so we can get you there today!) The topic video will take about 19 minutes. Before logging into the live call, please find a place where you can sit down and focus uninterrupted on your business. Have a notebook and pen available because this is a hands-on planning event to help you create your annual plan for next year. While the topic is less than twenty minutes in length, you may want to allow 1-3 hours to really map out each piece of the framework this week. After the call, you can access the video training in the classroom, so you can go back through the training and pause as you complete each step. Remember that no one plans to fail but many fail to plan. You're not one of the many. You're one of the few. You are committing to following a roadmap rather than wandering through meadows hoping you reach the summit and get to see the view from the top.

Annual Planning For Founders: 7 a.m. EST Wednesday
Focus Time
It's Monday, the first day of a traditional work week. When I worked in an office for someone else, I dreaded Mondays. It mean the commute had heavier traffic. It usually meant I had to attend an unnecessary meeting. It meant wasting half the morning with co-worker chit chat before any real work got started. And, it often meant I was starting out behind because my inbox was full of actions and follow ups that came in since my last log in a few days ago. I do not miss those Mondays! My Mondays now are chill. I take my chihuahua out early, make a smoothie and a cup of coffee, and then, I read for about an hour. After that, I grab my planner. I review the previous week and my calendars for this week and ensure the most important task are assigned a day to get done. At 7 a.m. EST, I settle at my computer to work on content or whatever task I want to get off my plate early. For me, this is usually the creative work - the stuff I tend to not be motivated to do as the day goes on. We have to find our zone of genius and work within our energy levels. It's about finding our own cadence. Hopefully, you've had some focus time already this morning. Well, it's time to commit to your 3-2-1 for this week. Let's change it up a bit... 3 - What are three things you've been procrastinating on starting or finishing? (Caught you off guard this week, eh?) 2 - What are two things you learned recently from this community? 1 - What is your # 1 goal this week and why?

@Iris Ocariza I'm so sorry you caught a cold. Your body and mind must've known that you needed a little rest. Now maybe you can open a book and get lost in an adventure. Glad you feel connected to this community.

@Iris Ocariza It's still a bit cold out there but I'm lucky. He goes out and wants to come back in right away.

@Iris Ocariza They probably come to visit because you're there, and I'm sure you took a few rainbows with you. :)

@Iris Ocariza I always tell my mom and sisters when it's overcast that I'll have to make my own sunshine. You do that too, so I figure you probably sprinkle in a few rainbows with that childlike wonder you craft in your community.
Burn The Boats by Matt Higgins
The premise of this book is to take an all in approach and not let a Plan B distract you from your goals. This creates a powerful psychological drive to succeed.

“But when the time came to purchase, people who saw the large display were one-tenth as likely to buy as people who saw the small display.” In other words, having too many options paralyzed the shoppers.

“I see this pattern so often: you’re a CEO, and you’re a highly capable individual. You understand your business exceptionally well, and if there was no limit to your capacity or the number of hours in the day, you’d gladly handle every piece of it yourself…You end up bogged down in operations instead of doing what a CEO needs to be doing—scaling yourself up, leading with vision, and directing the ship. It’s a recipe for failure, and the single biggest trap I see smart leaders fall into.”
