High Protein Meals Matter for Hormone Health… But Not As Much As THIS
I see this everywhere now. High protein smoothies. High protein brownies. High protein cookies. And yes…Getting enough protein matters. High protein meals can help with: • blood sugar regulation • PCOS • cravings • muscle mass • metabolism • and overall hormone health But hormones are about more than food and exercise. There is one thing that can raise blood sugar, increase cravings, elevate stress hormones, and wreck sleep that most people NEVER think about: LIGHT Just like junk food…There is also junk light. Artificial light at the wrong times can affect: • cortisol • melatonin • sleep quality • energy • hunger signals • and even how your body responds to food So yes…Plan your high protein meals. But pair them with high quality light for the biggest benefit. If you want to learn how to optimize your light environment for better energy, mood, sleep, and hormones, come join me inside The Hormone Hub. Which do you think affects hormones more: high protein or light?

@Phillip Mackey thats what ppl say for vit D. Which is wild because that will depend on your skin tone and the UV index. BUT! Its not just about vitamin D. Its about circadian rhythms. Is the absence of sunlight as a circadian signal AND the inclusion of artificial light which is a hormone disrupter.

@Phillip Mackey BTW, that goes for both men and women. Circadian rhythms are foundational
Fasting with Phillip!
I had some success with fasting even when I'm not that good at it! Several time including yesterday I lost weight even when I got tempted and broke my fast earlier than I planned that's why I made my gamified group for it! https://www.skool.com/game-masters-guild-6600/about Hope everyone who reads this is blessed with a great day!

@Phillip Mackey not on the cycle changes. But yes on the stress. You also want to look at context when it comes to muscle mass for menopause. Want make sure you are also building and preserving muscle.
What breakfast keeps YOU full the longest?
Most people trying to “eat healthier” are accidentally building breakfasts that keep them hungry, inflamed and craving sugar by 11am. And it’s usually not because they lack discipline. It’s because their breakfast looks “healthy”… but behaves like dessert in the body. Example: 🥣 cereal + milk/oat milk + banana 🥐 toast + jam ☕ coffee + something sweet 🥤 smoothies with mostly fruit None of these are “bad” foods. But if your breakfast is mostly fast carbs and very little protein, fiber or healthy fat, your blood sugar can spike, crash, and leave you feeling like: – I need coffee again – Why am I hungry already? – I crave something sweet – My belly feels puffy – I’m trying so hard but nothing is changing A simple anti-inflammatory upgrade: Instead of asking “Is this food good or bad?” Ask: 👉 “Will this meal keep my blood sugar stable for the next 3–4 hours?” A more insulin-friendly breakfast usually has: ✅ Protein✅ Fiber✅ Healthy fat✅ Color from plants✅ Minimal ultra-processed oils/sugars For example: Greek yogurt + berries + seeds+ nuts Eggs + avocado + tomato + olive oil Sardines or tuna toast + veggies (yes, sardines are great for breakfast :)) Tofu scramble + mushrooms + greens Leftover chicken + roasted vegetables This is exactly what we practice inside Inflameless Living. It’s a community for people who want to calm inflammation, balance blood sugar, reduce cravings, lose stubborn belly fat and build Mediterranean-style habits without extreme dieting. If this sounds like the kind of health journey you want, you’re welcome to join us. Curious: what breakfast keeps YOU full the longest?

🤠 Connection is Medicine?! (free workshop in C&C)
Do you believe that it can be SIMPLE and even FREE to massively and positively impact your hormones, nervous system, and overall sense of well-being? I do! ::raising my hand:: On February 14, 2007, I drastically changed my diet and lifestyle to get back to NATURE. Three days later, after a heck of a detox, I had gone from sick to actually feeling WELL. But then it kept getting better. February 24, 2007 was the first day of the rest of my life and when I COMPLETELY STOPPED MEDICATIONS. This experience was truly and deeply life altering. I had no idea until I experienced this, that it was even possible for me to thrive without medication! THIS is why I am obsessed with the shares from @Evelyn Szeinbaum (that I've seen sprinkled around C&C and elsewhere). She too has been on this path from sick to well. But where Evelyn differs is that she became obsessed with education to the point of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The BREADTH and DEPTH of knowledge this woman has is banana pants! 🍌👖 TRULY this will be a lovely call with Evelyn -- OFFICIAL SUPER GEEK who will share her truly lovely level of wellness geekery with us. If you EVER have dips in energy --> If you EVER have headaches --> If you EVER have health issues (of any kind) --> 🤠 You may very well find that the wisdom drops in this workshop will FREELY and SIMPLY bless you in ways that you never could have imagined. 💖 The call link is here. 💖 (You have to be a Connect & Collab member, but it is 100% free.) See you there?! P.S. If you miss the live call, there will be a recording up for all members!
