DAY 118 c; ACT AS IF REQUEST GRANTED Folder; Persuasion/ Communication/Cognitive Science
What if I told you that most of your requests are granted, it depends on your framing. Oh, maybe I shot too wide but there's principle here, I would like you to clock. When you make a request in such a way that it seems already granted, it's more likely to be granted. Pause. Read that again. Let me make it much more concrete for you; If you said to your parents; a) Can I go to the party tomorrow b) I will be going to a party tomorrow at a friend's place, which is not far from here and I will come back before 6pm. Assuming all things are equal, which requests seems more like it will be granted. B of course, because you are not asking for permission which is more likely to result in a No or Yes. Rather you are acting out granted request, not only hedging the risks involved but you are given a solution to their concerns. So to apply such requests to other areas, you state instead of asking, you map out the concerns and offer clear solutions. Because, the reason people turn down permission mostly is because they have concerns and a clear solution has not been met. *Summary of the Principle* Assume the "Yes": Speak as if the outcome is inevitable. Identify the Friction: Figure out why they would say "No." Bury the Friction: Include the solution to their fear within your statement. NB: Once again, this is a nuanced skill, and the way you will put it across adds to its effectiveness.

DAY 118b: SPEAK TO PEOPLE'S INTERESTS AND CONCERNS; Folder; Communication/ Relationship/Networking/Social Presence
There's is this general mistake everybody keeps and more importantly, we do it without knowing. But the enlightened ones amongst us know this intuitively or intentionally; so they do what is right. The credo is simple; *Speak To People about their interests and their concerns* Most at times when we are relating with people, we try to talk about ourselves, our interests forgetting that the most interesting thing for others are their interests and their concerns. Unless they show concern for your interests and your concerns , it's best to focus majorly on their interest and their concerns. Because they like to hear about themselves; they like to hear about this they love. If you know this simple rule; your conversation might not necessarily improve although it might but people are more likely to perceived you as interesting to talk to and being around. But don't get me wrong, the goal is not necessarily to talk about them throughout the conversation but just to be aware that people mostly like to be spoken to about their interests and concerns.

DAY 118; KNOWLEDGE IS DIFFERENT FROM AWARENESS Folder; Artificial Intelligence / Knowledge Awareness matrix
Chatgpt, Claude, Gemini, Grok and other AIs are not aware, they just know. They are made to know, not necessarily become aware. They lack situational context, real life intuition et al. Especially if you are in Africa here That's why sometimes the advice you obtain from A.I is theoretically good but practically futile. Being aware of this revelation, you should then know when to use AI and when not to use AI and more importantly how to use A.I Moreover A.I i.e LLMS are not made to necessarily spoon-feed you with answers. But rather they are made to nudge towards finding the answers yourself. Thus it will be dangerous for you to swallow every generic answer an AI gives you. You need to question the answers, you need to give it more context, you need to stress test it and more over you need to marry real world intuition with the assistance of AI. Others, you will mostly get impractical assistance. NB:AI may know patterns But you live the consequences

Why a "No" is Just a "Not Yet" 🚀
Rejection is one of the hardest parts of the journey, whether you are building a business or growing a content page. We’ve all been there—the pitch that got ignored, the partnership that fell through, or the content that didn’t get the reach we expected. But look at the story of Jack Ma. He was the only person rejected out of 24 applicants at KFC. He was rejected by the police. He was rejected by Harvard 10 times. If he had stopped at any of those "No’s," the Alibaba Group wouldn't exist today. The Reality of the Grind: Rejection isn't a stop sign: It’s often just a redirection to something better. Work speaks louder than luck: When things don't go your way, the only solution is to keep working, keep refining your craft, and keep showing up. Build in silence: Let your progress be the answer to everyone who couldn't see your vision early on. For every entrepreneur and creator in this community: Don’t let a rejection get to your head, and don’t let success get to your heart. Keep working. Your breakthrough is on the other side of "Keep Going." Discussion Question: What is one "rejection" you’ve faced recently that actually pushed you to work harder or change your strategy for the better? Let’s talk about it below! 👇
