🧶 Celebrating Two New Level 8 Members 💛
Please join me in congratulating: ✨ @Wendy Merchant and ✨ @Barbara Amarillas on reaching Level 8 in our community! 🌟 What This Really Means Level 8 isn’t just about points. It represents consistent contribution and real impact. These two members didn’t get here by chance. They showed up by: • Posting their projects • Encouraging others • Liking and commenting regularly • Answering questions • Sharing ideas and experiences 💛 How the Levels Really Work Points in this community are earned when others respond to what you do. So when you: • Share a project • Ask a question • Offer encouragement • Contribute to conversations And others engage with it… 👉 That’s how you earn points. But here’s the powerful part: When you like, comment, and support others, you are helping them earn points too. So growth doesn’t happen individually here… 👉 It happens together. 🤝 The Community Responded Because of how Barbara and Wendy showed up: • Conversations grew • Members felt encouraged • New people felt welcomed • Confidence increased across the community That’s what true contribution looks like. 🧶 Welcome to the CMK Inner Circle With Level 8, they are now invited into: ✨ The CMK Inner Circle ✨ This is a group of members who: • Help shape the direction of the community • Provide ideas and feedback • Support and guide others • Help protect the positive, supportive culture we’ve built This is where members move from participating… To helping lead. 💛 Want to Get There Too? There’s no shortcut. It’s simply: • Show up • Share • Engage • Support others And let the community respond. Please take a moment to congratulate them below 👇 They’ve truly earned this. Let’s keep the crank turning — together 🧶💛

Introduction
Hello everyone, first of all I have to apologize because I’m not sure if I put this post in the right place. I couldn’t find any other introductions so far. So I hope this is ok. My background might be a little different than yours, so I want to tell you a little bit about myself: I’m 52 years old and I’m from Germany (so please excuse my not so fluent expressions sometimes… My English is pretty good, though. So there shouldn’t be any issues coming up). What’s making my situation a little different is that I have severe Cerebral Palsy, I’m sitting in an automatic wheelchair and can only use my left hand to do things. I do have caregivers around 24/7. 2018 I discovered that I can do loom knitting by myself after building some constructions to put the loom on. A few years later my lovely partner Marco (you will hear more from him very soon) bought me the king size Addi. We had to realize pretty quickly that there’s no way for me to use it on my own. So Marco and I decided to addi together. We are still very much at the beginning of our addi journey. Only thing we did so far was this:

Addi Socks with a Heel.
Happy Easter everyone! Yesterday my time was spent trying to see how well I could do short rows on the Addi for socks. They are my love language.💕. After a whole day of some serious frustration, I came to the conclusion that I’m going to have to really work on that more to get short rows for heels and toes that look nice on the Addi. I did however make these with the 22 that uses a drawstring on the toe in the heel. This is a variation on a pattern and I found by Yay for Yarns. Are they perfect? No. And I don’t like socks and worsted weight. So they’re more like house slippers to me. But, I’m going to try this with doubled sock yarn, and see what the results might be. I will keep you posted!

@Dd Stoller Thank you
Blanket help
I'm planning to knit a blanket on my 46 needle Addi machine since I don’t have a 22 needle. I’ve noticed that most people use the 22 needle to make tube blankets and then sew the tubes together. Since I only have the 46 needle, I’m considering knitting a panel blanket instead. I’d really love to make one of Kim’s blanket patterns for my mother in law for Mother’s Day, but I’m also thinking about using only 22 needles on my 46 needle Addi to follow the pattern more closely. Has anyone tried this before, either knitting a panel blanket on a 46 needle or limiting it to 22 needles to match the pattern? I usually see these blankets made with the 22-needle machine, so I’d love to hear any advice or experiences.
