Anyone raises farm animals? If yes what do you raise? If no, why?

My name is Britt. I am very new to gardening I know there are a few steps that needs to be done before I can even start growing anything in my backyard. So any tips and tricks will be appreciated. I want to work with my area not against it. My zone is 9a, have really bad erosion problem due to the creek that runs between property lines in a subdivision. I have a strange backyard layout. (Will post pictures if asked in order to help me or point me down the right direction)

My first year growing veggies has been awesome! The overall picture is a few weeks old, and the tomatoes are a lot bigger. I harvested about half of my potatoes yesterday, a bunch of greens (I lost a lot to buggies and possibly rabbits), a couple of jalapenos and some beets. I have green tomatoes on all of my tomato plants, peppers on all of my pepper plants, and flowers on the others. Plus, 3 of the 6 asparagus crowns came up! How likely is it that the other 3 might come up eventually? One of the crowns that sprouted took about 9 weeks to poke above the soil.
