Class is in session!
PreSkool, powered by Skool Nerds, has just launched! Enroll and you will learn how to setup a community so that on day 1 people can get in and engage. This isn't a Done For You kind of thing, and it definitely isn't a passive course. We will ask hard questions, do intentional work and build the assets you need to launch. Need more details? Check out the What is PreSkool course in the classroom. Right now its free and 1 of the 3 slots are filled. Don't miss out.

Just had an incredible Day 1 call with @Brian Walsh today and highly encourage anyone thinking about creating or rebooting their community to take him up on this offer! 🔥

Just told a buddy from my book club about this community and the preskool program. He briefly mentioned helping men in their 50s figure out online dating and how to re-engage women after divorce. I believe there’s quite a market for that. Will see if I can get him in here to check it out this week.
Seeking Feedback (PreSkool Day 1 Homework)
Just got off an incredible coaching call with @Brian Walsh where he helped me define and clarify the idea behind my new dad-focused community, Charlotte Dads. Here's where I landed: 👉 My community helps Charlotte dads to connect with other growth-minded men and improve themselves—without relying on therapy. Would love to hear your response to this idea is in the comments below! 🤙

@James Blackburn I appreciate that. Any words that come to mind as an alternative? Successful? Driven? Entrepreneurial? Family-focused?
Time for a little celebration...
Hit 100 members in my free community this week, woop woop! Definitely celebrating in my house. Thanks for all your encouragement, wisdom and support guys!

Love seeing you with your family. Quick question - since you mention 'drifting' in your bio, have you read Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill? (If not, the book specifically explores the concept of 'drifting')

@Nat Carey It’s been a while so I don’t remember it all, but the concept of drifting and hypnotic rhythm really stuck with me. Drifting is the antithesis of masculine energy, which is why I think lack of purpose weighs so heavily on men. Hypnotic rhythm points to something I’ve heard hypnotists say, which is that we’re hypnotized all day long by what’s in our unconscious. Hypnosis is less about getting hypnotized than it is about simply examining what’s already running in the background and making it more productive and helpful. The book is written as a conversation between a man and the devil, who is explaining how he entraps men. I thought it was a great vehicle for the teachings.

For me it depends. If I need quick solutions to specific problems, give me something short and specific. If I'm trying to understand new concepts or new processes, I need something longer. If you're going to help me set up Zapier to move emails from Skool to Kit, I'd like it to be under 5 minutes. Whereas last night I started watching a 3.5 hour Live Q&A with Evelyn Weiss to better understand Meta Ads, and I'd be happy to do it again. I've been really impressed with the real-time walkthrough videos in Free Skool Course by Max Perzon. The videos range from 30 mins to 90 mins and there are 11 of them in the course, but it's not too much.

I think the video you shared is great and that the music was a great addition to help capture the vibe of what you were sharing. My immediate thought was that the use of music could be a good emotional hook for your messaging - that people get a moment of 'ahh' when they stop on your videos.

@Matthew Bagge For me, it could be a tad quieter, but it wasn't overwhelming. There's a guy, James Smith, who reviews people's instagram pages a lot and one of his beefs is music that's too loud. I think volume is just another variable you can play with--turn it down, turn it up, see if there's any noticeable shift in engagement. 🙏
