I have completed the first step in making the basket my daughter has requested. I have tied about 250-ish square knots to create the varigated yarn to start making the icord. I used yarn I already had and had ChatGPT help me get the colors into random lengths and order to try to avoid the look of stripes or sloppy columns. The one on the left is first and will continue to the one on the right. I hand cranked the cakes as I tied the yarn pieces together.

The yarn is Knitnex, super soft yarn from Temu. 100% Acrylic. 4 weight. It’s a dream to knit with and it is nice to finish off with.

Kim is feeling a bit under the weather today, and will not be very active. We're going to give her time to rest and recuperate. I think we can manage a day without her and not get into too much trouble! lol In the meantime, the Anniversary Engagement Challenge is still ongoing (today is day 10), but Kim will be asking for our numbers for Day 9 and Day 10 tomorrow. She will put up a post for the challenge tomorrow.
