I love the colors, the mood, the framing, the light direction, the skin tone. All that making the subject sensual and not sexual! Great one @Bob Fischer !

@Mimsie Gin I like your seeing concept on framing. I think to some people comes naturally and to some not. I think you belong to the first group πŸ˜ƒ. Nice one and keep shooting πŸ˜‰

@Emanuel Schi 😁. It becomes stronger. With some more contrast you may strengthen even more the central frame making the highlights glow like white neon light and making the wall deminish it's weight on the picture.

@Gary Lewis welcome on board! I am sure you will find here what you are looking for...a group of passionate photographers that look more for intention than casual shooting. A meaning, more than only a beautiful photo. @Emanuel Schi will guide you more πŸ˜ƒ

Candid/Street Photography Musicians and Street Performers
Question for the group: When you're shooting Candid and Urban/Street as separate categories, where do street performers and musicians fit? A lot of the time the images are genuinely candid because the performer has no idea I'm taking the photo. Other times they notice the camera and start posing or performing for me. At that point, do you still consider it candid or street photography, or has it become something elseβ€”more of an environmental or collaborative portrait? I'm curious how you all think about it and how you would categorize those images. One other thought. Whenever I photograph street performers or musicians, I always put something in the hat, jar, or instrument case. I don't think of it as paying for permission to take a photoβ€”it's simply my way of showing appreciation for what they're doing and acknowledging that their performance made the photograph possible.

@Gary Lewis I would see Street as the main category and Candid taken at the street as a sub-categorie of Street.
