Last week, I experienced something that redefined education for me. I was already familiar with Learnlife, but seeing how they operate blew my mind. There are no grades and no teachers, only learners and guides. However, the learners have complete autonomy over what and how they learn. The guides are only there to support them. Here is how they learned about the US elections. They just did them. In a single morning, they: - Set up roles, formed an election committee, and established campaign rules. - Registered voters, prepared ballots, and conducted a full-scale election. - Counted votes and declared a winner. Think about that. Before lunchtime, a group of teenagers replicated a democratic process that usually takes months. And they did it with more humility and respect than most real-world candidates. I left the Inspire event with one clear thought: I wish I could have gone to a school like this. What about you?
