@Svetoslav Dimitrov thank you for the feedback, I used AI to edit it, told the whole story, and it can’t add what I don’t talk about :) those emotions and feelings I rarely talk about when talking about work, maybe I have to learn to think this way more. Anything else I should have in mind? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Curious: What's your primary discovery channel?
If you're not getting all of your subscribers via ads / cross-promos / affiliate promos / word-of-mouth... And... If you're a peasant like me and use platforms as free discovery channels and are masochistic enough to actually enjoy churning out content day after day... Which would you say is your favorite platform for getting regular subscribers?

@Maliha M just posts, never posted a single Note, and don’t even know where they are 😅

@Maliha M that was been my case too, from Josh Spector, but I don’t remember if it was email, live call or post 🤣🤣🤣
Cold outreach
Yesterday I sent out an email to my list, asking folks if they've tried getting clients via cold outreach. I got two classes of responses. Class 1: 1A. "Yes, I hate it. I hired an agency multiple times and every time I hated it." 1B. "So far, 17 days in, 70 prospects approached, 0 clients, countless menty b’s." 1C. "No, and wouldn’t ;)" Then there's class 2: 2A. "That is my primary method for getting clients." 2B. "Yes, John. Works very well for me. No fancy cold email stack. Just a 3-liner email with a very relevant problem that they'd wanna get rid of. Brings me every month $12K to $18K!" 2C. "I'm using cold outreach to get clients, and I'm doing very well with it. Personally, one of the best methods, especially if we are talking about cold email outreach." Quite the difference between Class 1 and Class 2. I'm curious, what has your experience with cold outreach been? Comment below. If we get enough comments, I'll share what my experiences with cold outreach have been. I'll tell you now, I've been in both classes above. If there's enough interest, I'll share what I think makes the difference. If there's not enough interest, as manifested by only a few people who reply to this, I'll just stuff this whole discussion back in the sock drawer.

@David Harrison was exactly like I thought, wrote her, she sent me a form asking even for my name 🤣 and a bunch of questions she could have know from my LinkedIn, that’s really a bad way to outreach anyone in my opinion.

@David Harrison indeed!!! 🎉🤣
Welcome e-mail
What’s the best welcome email you’ve ever received? I’m about to rewrite mine. Now, I have a little over 10,000 subscribers, and my current welcome email has received around 85 replies. Maybe that’s a perfectly normal response rate, but I’d love the new email to help me learn more about the people joining my list: what they need, how I can help, and what they’re hoping to get from me. So I’m curious: Have you ever received a welcome email that you genuinely loved or felt compelled to reply to? What made it work? I’d love to see examples, ideas, or questions that have worked well for you.

I'm sure by now we subscribe to a bazillion things... But if I asked you to share ONLY 5... which 5 would you choose to share and why? I'll go first: - Kit (biz kinda depends on it) - Webtoons 🫣 (life requires entertainment) - The New Yorker (cuz I'm vain AF) - John's Daily Email Habit (cuz I like John) - Andertoons (cuz I like Andertoons) Share yours?
