Thanks Jay! Working hard every day 🫡
I've just had my first sale 🥳🥳🥳
I just heard the 'kerching' noise and saw that I had my first sale on Etsy. Very excited but apprehensive too. Need to work out how to re-size the image (make sure there are enough pixels) and work out how to process it to PS without forgetting anything and not marking as complete before it is 🙄 I just need to get familiar with the process to feel confident with it all (then I'll make myself a checklist 😍). Anyway, I'm off the starting blocks at last! Woo Hoo...

Congratulations Jan!
Important Announcement! UK VAT and Multi-Discounts
Hey guys, Just a little video to announce some changes happening soon! Two major changes: VAT on UK orders will be coming soon. We should have been charging this for a long time but due to the complexity of our business model it took us a while to set up 😆 This does mean UK prices will increase by 20%. But don't panic, the expected profits we always refer to actually already includes 20% VAT being charged. So with our recommended pricing, you will still profit £24 for a 24x36" print and £60 for a 24x36" framed print! We have basically been making a loss on UK orders for a long time as we are still liable for VAT despite not charging it lol (I don't wanna talk about the size of our VAT bill) So don't panic about the increase, this still leaves you with plenty of room for profit, and we are still much more competitive than the competition, as they of course also have to charge VAT on top of the website prices they display :) HOWEVER, GOOD NEWS! To help soften the blow we are happy to announce a pretty major change, which is a discount on multi orders! Going forward, all print orders of 3+ prints will receive a 20% discount! This can lead to a lot of extra profit in your guys pocket for bigger orders, and should make a really healthy difference to your take home figures. This is across ALL countries, not just the UK! These changes will launch at the same time, likely in the next couple of weeks. Just finalising the last bits to have our VAT number up and running. We will of course update you closer to the time 🫡 As we say in the video, THANK YOU all for using PrintShrimp!! We love being able to build this company and community every single day and cannot imagine our lives without it. We have a lot more coming soon include our own poster marketplace, giving you guys an extra platform to sell your art on (with lower fees than Etsy 😉)! Please let us know any feedback, improvements, or ideas you may have for changes you would like to see with PrintShrimp ⬇️

Setting up Shopify
Is it worth setting up a Shopify store, using meta ads etc. Was thinking of opening one up but curious what the return on ad spend is like and how efficient the marketing is. Thank you

Definitely worth looking into, we also have Shopify integration coming very soon
4 Months In & 32 Sales
I'm about 4 months into this journey, with 285 travel listings and 32 sales. All time views just over 1,000 with around 250-300 views a month. All time conversion rate is 2.5% My QLS is regularly 85+, I've used long-tail keywords (often searched for on Alura), and used a video listing + another 10 images on each listing. I'd hope this would have picked up by now - so any advice on tags and how much to look into QLS would be appreciated. I notice some other shops use single keywords and getting regular sales. I spend a good 5-10 mins on each listing to ensure tags and keywords are optimum and have hit a bit of a lull😥

I would spend less time uploading each listing as the difference between decent SEO and perfect SEO probably isn't as big as you think it is. How do you think your shop would look if instead of spending 47.5 hours on SEO you would have instead spent the time creating and uploading 1000 extra posters?
