The 3Q Filter
I came across Kasim Aslam's productivity framework, 3 questions you should ask yourself before working on ANYTHING:
  1. Can I eliminate this?
  2. Can I automate this?
  3. Can I delegate this?
This hit different because as a founder, I was constantly drowning in tasks without questioning whether they even deserved my time in the first place. So I decided to actually implement this framework inside Asana, the project management tool I use to run my agency and personal life. Here's exactly what I did:
  • I have 4 core projects in Asana — basically every area of my life runs through these.
  • I created a custom dropdown field called "3Q Filter" with 4 options: Eliminate, Automate, Delegate, and Keep & Do — and added it to all 4 projects.
  • Then I set up an AI-powered automation rule called "Prioritize tasks with 3Q Framework" on each project. Every time a new task is added, the AI automatically evaluates it against Kasim's 3 questions and sets the 3Q Filter field accordingly.
  • I deliberately chose not to auto-eliminate tasks — the AI only gives its verdict, and I make the final call.
The result? Every task that enters my system now gets instantly judged before I even look at it. I'm no longer just managing tasks — I'm filtering them.
Kasim's framework went from a concept I read about to a live, automated system running 24/7 across every area of my life.
