Google Maps Business Posted
I left a review for a local coffee shop and he was surprised to find out that I'm a Level 8 Google Guide.
I told him that I was working on a new project posting local businesses to Google Maps and that I would like to do a 360 tour of his coffee shop.
He was all for it and we went out last Sunday to capture it, since there wouldn't be any patrons in on a Sunday.
I posted the tour to Google Maps the same day and ... crickets. We're coming up on one week and I haven't heard anything from Google. The support page isn't any help either. It just says that it could take weeks or months to post, or it might never get accepted at all.
What's your experience? Do you just keep checking the map hoping that your tour has posted? Do you not charge clients until the tour goes live? Do you not actually charge for the tour, but use it as an introduction to the business so that you can start a relationship and sell them on other products?
Thanks for your help and guidance. I'm being completely transparent with the coffee shop owner. I told him this was a learning process and I didn't charge him for the service.
