What is the best protein? 🤔
Well well well. I will let you think about this, before I spoil the joke, hopefully I’ll write enough character so you have to open the post before you would see the answer: There is no single “best protein”, just like there is no “best diet”. Amino acids are grouped into 3 general categories: - Non-essential amino acids: We can make some amino acid in our body, so we don’t have to eat them. - Essential amino acids: We need to get them from food, because we can’t make these ourselves. - Conditionally essential amino acids: We can make these ourselves, but not always effectively. Having extras around helps us rebuild tissues when those tissues are damaged The lesson of this is to keep protein sources as diverse as possible.
