Hello everyone! My name is Keith Heaton, and I'm excited to be part of the Veteran Business Community! I'm currently serving in the U.S. Air Force as a F-16 Crew Chief with over 11 years of service, including more than three years as a Technical Training Instructor, where I had the privilege of mentoring and developing future Airmen. I'll be separating this December and transitioning into entrepreneurship while continuing my education in social work. I am currently in skillbridge with 7Eagle group which is where I met @David Jones. I'm the founder of Heaton Outdoor Co., an emerging fishing and outdoor lifestyle brand focused on conservation, education, community, and making the outdoors more accessible. I'm currently in the early stages of building my business, establishing relationships with manufacturers for fishing rods and reels, exploring sustainable outdoor apparel and handmade fishing tackle, and growing my social media presence. My long-term vision includes an online storefront, fishing education, guided experiences, and potentially fishing-based wellness programs for veterans and others who could benefit from the outdoors. I'm joining VBC to learn, network, find mentorship, explore partnerships, and connect with fellow veteran entrepreneurs. I have plenty of ambition and ideas, but I also recognize the value of learning from those who have already built successful businesses. I founded Acris Software in September 2025 to create a new AI-native Electronic Medical Records system for small-to-medium size neurology clinics due to my combat injuries. I'm currently completing PenFed Foundation's Incubator Program, IVMF's Syracuse University's EBV program, and will be attending Harvard University's Foundry program in September. I'm passionate about what I'm building and I've been writing software since I could walk. I spent the last 5 years rehabilitating from injuries, physical and mental, where I attended PTSD Foundation of America's Camp Hope in Houston Texas.
