Intro
Hello everyone! My name is Hector and I recently retired from the Army after 20 years of service. I was an MP/ Military working dog trainer. My current focus is navigating new goals developing my pet Dog training/ working dog consulting business and getting my bearings in the business world. I recently set up my LLC and building up the client base locally. I don't have it all figured out just yet, so I am here to seek information on business startups and learn how to effectively utilize the VA VR&E program for business development and continuing education. Outside of my army career, my interests are spending time with family, training dogs, beach life, and my new hobby of...running😅. If anyone has experience leveraging VR&E for a similar business and has advice for a newly transitioned veteran stepping into entrepreneurship, I would love to connect!

GO ARMY! BEAT NAVY! I'm Nicholas Jordan, an Army veteran, new entrepreneur, and technical founder. I founded Acris Software in September 2025 to create a new AI-native Electronic Medical Records system for small-to-medium size neurology clinics due to my combat injuries. I'm currently completing PenFed Foundation's Incubator Program, IVMF's Syracuse University's EBV program, and will be attending Harvard University's Foundry program in September. I'm passionate about what I'm building and I've been writing software since I could walk. I spent the last 5 years rehabilitating from injuries, physical and mental, where I attended PTSD Foundation of America's Camp Hope in Houston Texas. That healing journey has led me to my new mission: revealing the unseen.
I Built Something to Help Veterans Stay Connected ⭐
One thing I missed after leaving the military wasn’t just the mission—it was the conversations. The conversations with people who understood the experiences, the challenges, and the transition to civilian life. That’s why I founded Veteran Fellowship. We’re a nonprofit that connects veterans for meaningful one-on-one conversations. No politics. No fundraising. No endless social feeds. Just veterans talking with veterans, sharing experiences, offering encouragement, and building genuine friendships. Right now, most introductions happen virtually (phone or video), allowing us to connect veterans regardless of where they live. As our community grows, we hope those conversations will naturally lead to coffee, lunch, or a beer with fellow veterans in local communities. If you’re a veteran in this community, I’d love for you to join us. Create a profile, and we’ll match you with another veteran for a one-on-one conversation. We’re still in the early stages, so we appreciate a little flexibility as we grow and refine the matching process. Your feedback will help us make Veteran Fellowship even better. Join us at https://veteranfellowship.org Because taking off the uniform shouldn’t mean losing the camaraderie.
