Edit Website Links Without Recoding Everything 🔧
Hey everyone! Quick tip that'll save you tons of time - you DON'T need to recode your entire website just to fix or update links.
Here's what you need to know:
When you look at your website's code, you'll see links that look like this: href="/privacy-policy" or href="https://example.com/page"
Two ways links work:
  1. Using a prefix (relative link): href="/privacy-policy" This automatically uses whatever domain is in your URL If you're on yourdomain.com, it goes to yourdomain.com/privacy-policy No full URL needed!
  2. Using a full URL (absolute link): href="https://differentdomain.com/privacy-policy" Use this when you need the link to go to a DIFFERENT domain Just replace the href with the complete URL
The Point: You can just go into your code, find the href values, and adjust them as needed. No need to rebuild your whole site. Works for privacy policies, terms, or ANY link on your website.
I use privacy/terms as examples in the video, but this works for updating any links in your coded website 👍
