Poetry: Finding Your Voice This course helps students explore their voice through poetry. Through lessons, prompts, and performance practice, students will learn to express emotion, tell stories, and build confidence in their creativity. Write With Me Sessions is a 3-part live virtual workshop where writers actively create in community. Each session includes a guided prompt, dedicated writing time, optional sharing, and supportive feedback. Bring new ideas or poems you’ve been stuck on—this space helps you revisit, revise, and revitalize your work. Come as you are, and leave with fresh words and renewed creative momentum.

In this lesson, we will have students write on a prompt for ten minutes, and translate that poem to this Module for ten minutes. After, students will vote on a cover for their anthology coming out next month, and decide on one poem they want to commit to this anthology. Today’s lesson matters because it is inviting students to a new way to engage with poetry virtually, and introducing them to the beginning of this editing process, which is “picking your poems”.

In this course, students will explore poetry as a tool for mental wellness, learning how to practice stillness, reduce anxiety, and manage stress in healthy, creative ways. Designed for students ages 9–18 in public, private, and homeschool settings, this program invites participants to turn their thoughts and emotions into meaningful expression. By the end of the course, students will walk away with a practical writing tool they can use in real-life moments when emotions feel overwhelming.

Build-A-Poem: From Idea to Performance is a step-by-step poetry course guiding students from brainstorming to performing their own poem. Designed for grades 4–12, it supports beginner and developing writers in building confidence in writing and speaking. Through prompts, exercises, and performance practice, students will craft meaningful poems and learn to share them aloud with confidence.

This course invites adult writers to explore identity through poetry. Participants reflect on lived experiences and personal truths while developing an authentic voice. Through guided prompts, storytelling, and performance practice, writers turn their stories into meaningful poems. By the end, each participant will have a small body of work and the confidence to share it.
