help selecting dance classes for the falls
Hello everyone, My daughter Makenzie is going into her 3rd year of dance in the fall. She is wanting to grow as a dancer and become well-rounded and learn the skills she needs to pursue her goals. Her short-term goal is to learn skills necessary to make the high school dance team. Tryouts are in December. She is on a studio competition team, and I need to register her for their classes by Wednesday. She has to do the ones in purple. She has to also choose at least 1 blue, but she could to more. The green are optional. I am not sure what "blue and green" I should sign her up for as I am new to the dance world. Any suggestions would be appreciated. A little background. She is learning about the dance industry, so she is still forming her future goals. I am trying to expose her to opportunities. She went to a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader performance and try out, and she will be attending a Kilgore Rangerette camp and Texas Tech Pom team 2 day intensive. She went to a Paul Becker intensive in Austin on May 30. Any advice on helping her grow as a dancer is appreciated. She started dance in 6th grade, was on her middle school dance team this past year, and made it on to the main dance team for 8th grade. She also was selected to be in top middle school choir group that is award winning. She thrives on performing and loves to be center stage. She needs to grow in her skills. She has a broken hand right now, but once it heals, she will also be signing up for a gymnastics class. I used to work in the advertising industry in NYC at BBDO Worldwide on commercials 25 years ago, so I would love for her to be able to get some residuals for a commercial that is picked up by other countries, so that her college could be paid for. Thanks so much for your help!
