Reminder: Your First Draft Will Be Imperfect
I saw a billboard today about how your FIRST anything might not be your best but you have to put your ego aside and start. I asked AI to help me adapt it to something appropriate for us writers:
Your first sentence may be rough.
Your first paragraph will be clunky.
Your first chapter could feel messy.
Your first draft will be... imperfect.
Your first ANYTHING you write may be. And that's okay!
But you can't get to your polished draft, your best story, or your published book without writing that messy first one.
So put your inner critic aside, silence the perfectionist, and just start writing. The world is awaiting your words.
