HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY👑🎂

This photo is one of the happiest Thanksgiving memories I have. My mom took it in 2012 — the year Thanksgiving officially became my favorite holiday.

The girls and I drove up from Atlanta, my brother surprised us from Houston, and we spent the whole day visiting family — loud talking, feasting, drinking, swapping stories, just enjoying the moment.

We'd celebrated every Thanksgiving together before. But this year was different. It felt lighter. Easier. We were connected.

Little did I know it would be our last Thanksgiving with my dad.

So this is my PSA: Make the trip. Join the call. Accept the invitation. Enjoy the moment while you're in it — because one day, those moments become memories.

I love you and I miss you every single day.
