A High School Literature Course taught to an American curriculum standard designed to support progression to AP courses and facilitate Critical Thinking, Literary Analysis and an appreciation for a wide range of novels and themes. Designed for students who will be using AI, the course tailors to students who are bored with "traditional curriculum" by focusing on Science Fiction and Fantasy. Companion courses (Novel & Film Study) integrate into HS Lit: Sci-fi & Fantasy.

Designed as an American High School English course, this Novel Study series (which can function independently or as a companion to the HS Lit course) aims to introduce students to both a wide variety and the depth of novels by studying a new novel in each episode. Literary themes, authorial intent and how the novel expresses itself (and why) are all discussed. Although the topic can be "academic" the course aims to be impactful, humorous and not a "normal" HS class - here there be Dragons.

Bringing a unique perspective to High School English curriculum, Film Studies allows students to study many of the same Literary concepts in a new medium that enables a rapid development of Critical Thinking skills. Designed as a companion course to HS Lit, Film Study will have a similar focus in terms of content - heavy on Sci-fi, Fantasy, Heroism and light on boring tropes. Academically insightful, the course aims to provide a primer for University Film Studies while teaching HS Lit.

AP US History has the potential to open up a new appreciation for the US - when taught in an unbiased way that is respectful and honest to all parties. That is what this course aims to do, and is being taught by a teacher with 20+ years of HS history teaching experience. Created as a companion to the HS US History course, and supported by an in-depth knowledge of the College Board's AP curriculum, this course puts students on track for AP with knowledge and skills (including FRQs) preparation.
