Sis is one letter from SOS 🆘
I am the only daughter. Oldest at that. I didn’t have a big Sister to look up to or a little Sister to look after. I prayed many a days for that friend that sticks closer than a Sister that the Bible talks about. It’s hard to come by but I’m grateful for answered prayers!
I believe that’s why Jesus reminded us time and time again about loving others and showing mercy. He wanted us to practice this because He knew we’d need each other. As the body of Christ, we are called to work together, encourage one another and intercede for each other. To be there to help carry each other’s burdens. To laugh & cry together.
Scripture says… “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Prayer is one way we are called to show our love. Encouraging each other in the Word as iron sharpens iron. Edifying one another in love as to ensure accountability and integrity.
1 Corinth 13:7 reminds us that Love “beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.” ‬‬It never fails!
Be careful that your love isn’t conditional and merely talk…
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I thank God for the love of my Sisters today! 💞 🙏🏽
