What we’re about! 💜
Hey ladies! 👋 I just joined the @skool_com and I was shocked there are no women’s Jiu Jitsu communities on there! 🤯 Well, we have started the first! Roll with us. Learn with us. Rise together. This is more than Jiu Jitsu — it’s a community. Our women’s Jiu Jitsu page is a space where women of all levels come together to: • Talk Jiu Jitsu • Share tutorials & tips • Organize meetups and events • Support each other on and off the mats Whether you’re a white belt or a seasoned competitor, you belong here. 👉 Follow us. Join the conversation. Let’s grow together. 🥋💪

New to Jiu Jitsu
Hey ladies! 👋 I just want to introduce myself and see if there is anyone else like me out there who is new to Jiu Jitsu! 😊 I am 34, mom of 4. I started in 2025 after going and watching my boyfriend who is now a brown belt at our local gym! 🟫🟫🟫⬛️🟫 I now have my first stripe on my white belt and I am very humbled to have made it this far! ⬜️⬜️⬜️⬛️⬜️ Our sons also go with us and we have the most amazing coaches and an amazing community here at home! 🤍 I would like to encourage any woman who is looking to pour into themselves to start Jiu Jitsu. It’s not just about self defense. It’s about mental focus and stamina. Jiu Jitsu forces you to see yourself for who you truly are. It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done for my physical and mental health and I think most that practice the art would agree. Thanks for stopping by and I can’t wait to connect with all you ladies out there! 🫶

Cortez Jiu Jitsu Academy ♟️
I just wanted to take a minute to introduce my kickboxing coach! @Tabitha Trevino 🥊 Tabitha is an amazing coach and a great human! You can read a little more about her on her own page but I can tell you not only is she a bad ass on the mat and in the cage. She’s one of the most humble people I’ve ever met. We live in a very small community and not a lot of ladies go to our gym so I am very grateful for this woman and the other ladies we have at our gym! 🙏 If you are in the Four Corners or Southwest Colorado area and can make the drive to Cortez we would love to have you! I will work with my professor and see if we can post our class schedule on this page! Get out there and connect today ladies, whether it be on or off the mats! ♥️
Best Advice For Women Starting BJJ
Get comfortable with fear ‼️ Be openminded and OK with not being perfect ‼️ Women’s only classes are important but there’s an advantage to rolling with men ‼️ You can say no. If you don’t want to roll with someone or are feeling gassed out it’s always OK to be polite but firm. You know your body ‼️

Women talk Jiu Jitsu. All ladies who have began their journey know, stepping on that mat can be scary! But once you do it you’ll never look back!
