Once upon a time, back in my grandfather’s town, Ijebu-Imushin, Ogun, Nigeria. The town elder known as Baale, understood the value women can bring to their community and how their impact can contribute to their economic development, unity and peaceful living . One evening, he invited and gathered the women in their village community, both young, old, married, widowed and single. He got a bundle of traditional broomsticks together and handed it to the strongest woman. "Now break this." He said. She tried. Another tried. Then another. None could. He then took the bundle and loosed it, handing each strings of broomsticks to them individually and ask them to break it. They all quickly broke their stick in one quick bend. The elder smiled and said, "Alone, life can break you. Together, you become unbreakable." Today, the story still relates. Too many women are carrying silent battles alone, building businesses, navigating careers, raising families, managing health, or simply trying to become the best version of themselves. You were never meant to do it alone. That's why Women2Women Mentoring exists. A community where women learn together, grow together, support one another, and celebrate each other's wins. Because one woman is powerful... but a community of women is unstoppable. 💜 What's one challenge you wish you didn't have to face alone? Share it below and let’s start some meaningful interactions.👇
