Hi folks,
It’s Athena. Born in Pyatigorsk (this time:), a small city in southern Russia, I grew up in a large Armenian family where music was always present (just like back on Olympus).
I’ve had a wild imagination for as long as I can remember. At three, I got hold of my mom’s mascara and painted a flower on our refrigerator. Mom was not impressed. That was my first lesson: not all art is appreciated in this cruel world 🙂
From there came Russian folk dance (a total failure), wood carving (very useful on pumpkins), chess club (got pretty good), youth soccer (still coaching), theater stages (the joy!), and DJing (the groove!).
In the USA, I followed a path into finance (so yes, I know money).
But poetry, lyrics, and eventually piano became my life (along with soccer).
To me, music is altogether meditation, connection through sound, a source of inspiration, creation, and joy.
So yes, I love music and poetry… and arts, crafts, and strategy 🙂
