Some of you may have already seen the news, but I wanted to share it here with my Wine-ish family.

There is now a sommelier scholarship with my name on it. At the very school where my own wine journey began. The Habibi Sommelier Scholarship will provide $10,000 to help open doors for the next generation of wine professionals, because talent is everywhere. Access is not.

I know firsthand what can happen when someone gets the education, the opportunity, and the room to become who they’re supposed to be in this industry. To now be part of creating that opportunity for someone else? Whew. So yes, this one means a lot. If someone came to mind while you were reading this, send this their way. Applications are open. And if that someone is you, apply.
