VegHeads - for the Ottawa East folks
BookFace is a great ressource for community initiatives. In the case VegHeads is a group that basically shops and prepares a weekly box of vegetables for $55.
Every week is different, you never know what you are going to get. But on their FB page they have they give you a break down. Basically this week was $120 worth of vegetables for $55. Almost ridiculous not to get this since you already have to buy groceries.
I personally love it because there is always 1-2 vegetables that wouldn’t naturally buy. So it forces me to cook/look up recipes with that ingredient. I sometimes include my kids in the process.
And I do 90% of the cooking in our household, so new inspiration is always welcomed.
Anyways, great resource. And if you are not in Ottawa east, look up regional FB groups. Might be something similar around
