Dicipline creates Freedom. Story of 103 year old grandmother
Just wanted to share a small insightabout my 103 year old grandmother who passed away a couple of days ago. The biggest lessons I learnt by living with her are 1) Routine is key. She never skipped a single meal or was even late by 10 mins from her meal time. It was clock work how she would eat on time every single day and slept on time each night. Wake up same time every day. Take a nap same time . It was amazing to watch her sleep and food routine. 2) Movement was key! She moved every day . Even if it was as small as just heading out into the verandah or the front gate that is about 25 steps from her room, she made it a point to move her legs and arms and keep the blood flowing. At that age its vital. 3) Prayer and devotion. She prayed everyday for her and our family. She had deep faith and devotion in her version of god or the ultimate source of energy. That was her refuge when things got rough. And kept her mind clear and strong even at the age of 103 I feel these 3 things are the main reason why she was able to stay healthy and happy for over a century and enjoy a healthy mind and body and spirit. She did struggle at the end but still lived a full life and was free to move, eat , pray and live. How good is your routine and dicipline??? Share in our community and lets get involved !!!
