How conscious hybrid networking works?
It all started one day after work when I decided to go for a walk. While strolling through the city, I spotted someone I knew from Sunflow coliving, where I had lived for three months. I joined him for a moment. I told him, “You look familiar,” but honestly, it would have been better if the lady next to you had said it. That lady (Anne-Marie) turned out to be a very interesting woman and also a highly skilled networker. She invited me to a Founders running club Málaga the next day, Saturday. I didn’t really feel like going, but in the end, I decided to step out of my comfort zone. At the run, I met @Kenneth Hellem and @Evan Monroe for the first time. A week later, I went again, and after the run, we ended up having coffee together at La Galga. I had temporarily moved from the co-living to the Sorrola hostel by the beach, which is nearby, so I stopped by the café again for hot chocolate and to earn a little money online. There, I chatted with @María Ortigosa, who draws portraits and animals. You can find her Instagram here. On my way out, I also talked with @Antonio Rodríguez, who runs La Galfa more then two years. So next time you visit, our poster should hopefully be hanging in the room where we go to "do your staff". Before the weekend, Anne-Marie also connected me with @Hrish Lotlikar, whom I met later that evening. He has a very forward-thinking project called Superworld. A genuinely nice guy at first sight. I believe we clicked, and we’ll probably come up with something together. Tomorrow, I plan to drop by the Demo Day at Polo Digital Málaga, and on Friday, I’ll stop by Startup Oazis for breakfast, to say hi to Dan and Ivan, and chat about what’s new. And on Saturday morning Founders running club again.

Not even the rain stopped us!
Alright, we were lucky because it wasn’t raining at that moment. Newcomers, introduce yourselves. Write what you do, how long you’ve been living here, and how long you want to live here. Sensible self promo is allowed. And I mentioned a new magazine connected to this community, so here it is welcometomalaga.online. You can even download it as an app on your phone.

A pleasant evening at Sunflow Coliving
Coliving is a term you often see in Facebook rental groups, but let’s talk about what it really means and how genuine shared living differs from the efforts of some digital nomads and travellers who simply want to save on their expenses. Quality coliving is not just about renting a room. It is mainly about community, mutual respect, unforgettable moments spent together and real support among the people who live there. In a well managed coliving space you are not paying a higher price only for a nice place to live but above all for the social and informational benefits that come with it. When you live in a coliving environment you should feel that the community manager is fully dedicated to you, preparing fun activities, sharing information about the city, giving tips for trips and experiences and, as a bonus, organising language exchanges, morning yoga, encouraging you to go for a run or join a hike. They also connect you with other housmates and motivate you to go for tapas together or cook something in the shared kitchen so you can get to know each other better. So next time you see pretty photos tagged as coliving, ask about the most important thing, the community benefits, and expect more in that regard. I'm grateful that something like this is taking shape in Málaga through Sunflow Coliving, and even more grateful that I can be part of it. I really enjoyed our cozy language exchange yesterday. What are your experiences with colivings around the world? Have you ever been part of something similar where you felt welcomed and truly comfortable?

Thank you for voting on the flyer 🙂
Thanks to everyone who took part in the flyer poll and also to @Franco Gamonet for the idea. We chose flyer number 4. Today I’ll print the first few copies and also make a smaller version, kind of like cards, that we can hand out to people. Please invite trusted people from your circles so we can grow and build our collective on solid foundations. I’m also curious to hear what you’re currently working on and what your needs are to help you adapt better in the city. @Andreja Prpic, good luck with your driving test today and I’m looking forward to you taking me on a trip soon. If you want, come celebrate passing the test with us tomorrow at this event from @Niki Kapoor
