OK, so this past Sunday, March 8 I got a chance to attend the Qi Gong class presented by Dr. Wu and I didn’t know what to expect. I feel like I’ve heard the terms Qi Gong and I’ve heard tai chi but I just never really had the opportunity to formally like learn about them and then being in here I already knew I was gonna get exposed to a lot of different philosophies and things that paired well with what I was already doing.
It’s very interesting that I’m preparing actually to study TCM coming up and I wanna say maybe like three or four weeks ago out of nowhere my mom starts practicing tai chi and then starts introducing and then it just starts to turn into this whole thing with Qi Gong and like and I’m just kind of in awe it’s been very enlightening so to say So I’ve been practicing first with just what I remember like I know I don’t have the whole sequence or what not down in order but usually I’ll start with like what what moves are naturally coming up for me to do in the moment so I’ll do those and then from doing them it’ll kind of like jog my memory for the other moves but I also will look at the recordings that Jessica did as well to help
Yesterday we were practicing as a group and I got a bit of creative inspiration because it was like seeing the yin and Yang animals as or with the fire horse energy.
So in the classroom Sunday we learned what are yang animal is and so I’m the year of the pig (yin) and the yang relation to that is the spider and I’ve attached a picture of what I came up with ChatGPT because it was a little hard to imagine a horse spider lol . 😂
