The psalmist’s call to “declare his glory among the nations”(Psalm96:3) reminds us that mission flows from worship. We share about God because we’ve experienced His glory and want others to know Him too. Like overflow from a full cup, mission should naturally flow from our own experience of God’s goodness.

May you embrace your role in God’s mission this week, sharing His love wherever He places you.

Paul’s emphasis on the beauty of those who bring good news (Romans 10:13-15) elevates the dignity of mission work. Whether across the street or across the ocean, sharing the gospel is a privilege participation in God’s redemptive work. Like ambassadors representing their king in foreign lands, we carry the message of heaven to earth’s inhabitants.

Jesus’s declaration that “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached I. The whole world”(Matthew 24:14) assures us of the mission’s ultimate success. Despite obstacles and opposition, God’s purpose to reach all nations will be accomplished. Like a river that inevitably reaches the ocean, the gospel will accomplish its intended purpose of reaching every people group.

Isaiah’s response “Here am I, send me “(Isaiah 6:8) demonstrates the proper reaction to understanding God’s mission. A genuine encounter with God’s holiness and mercy natural-ly leads to a willingness to serve His purposes. Like a mirror reflecting light it has received, those who have experienced God’s grace naturally desire to reflect it to others.
