Six months ago I was running a hungry agency with no idea how to consistently get clients.
No referrals. No ad budget. Just cold outreach, SEO, and testing whatever I could.
In May, I hit my first $10K month.
Here’s what actually moved the needle, and what didn’t.
What mattered
• A real offer clients wanted - not just “web design”
• Picking one niche and sticking with it - home service pros
• Sending cold emails daily and not overthinking them
• Following up. That’s how I closed my biggest project
• Learning how to close deals fast and stay in the driver’s seat
What didn’t
• Posting on social just to stay active
• Fancy proposals or branding tweaks
• Waiting until things were “perfect” before launching
• Thinking a great service alone would bring leads
Momentum came when I stopped playing agency and just started solving one painful problem really well.
If you’re early in the game, focus on that.
If you’re ahead of me, I’d love to hear how you scaled past this phase. I’m hiring and building systems now - want to do it right.
Let’s keep growing.
