A lot of people think righteousness is about how you look on the outside.
But that’s not what Jesus taught.
In fact, one of the main things he confronted was hypocrisy—
people who looked righteous,
but weren’t transformed on the inside.
Because real righteousness isn’t behavior modification.
It’s heart transformation.
You can follow rules and still be prideful.
You can say the right things and still be far from God.
You can look disciplined on the outside…
and still be struggling internally.
That’s the difference between appearance and authenticity.
And the danger is—
it’s easy to measure yourself by what people can see.
But God measures what people can’t see.
Your intentions.
Your motives.
Your heart posture.
So this isn’t really about calling other people out.
It’s about checking yourself.
Because real growth starts when you stop asking:
“How do I look?”
and start asking:
“Who am I becoming?”
That’s real righteousness.
Not perfection…
but transformation over time.
Where have you seen this in your own life—focusing more on appearance than actual growth?
