Freeform Locs
Freeform’s. That is a statement within itself. Why would someone want to start Freeform’s? I have a student who has Freeform locs and he went and got a haircut and they almost cut one of the locs off. It’s dangling by a hair…. that child had a nerd that asked me, Mrs. Young can you fix it? So now tomorrow, I’m going to teach them how to crochet locs, barbers are coming up in the world. OK, I know that was slightly off, but let’s get back to the real thing. Why would one want freeform locs? It’s the natural rugged look, the I don’t wanna see my parts, I don’t wanna go through the ugly stage. They just don’t want to do anything to their hair and allow it to just grow. Well, that’s me as well but at some point you have to separate those loccs you have to create your sections because if not, they will break and fall off, but how do you keep them from breaking and falling off? It’s gonna boil down to how well you are shampooing and when are you separating them and do you in your thinking time just twist your hair for no reason. What are your thoughts on Freeform?

This is for my fellow Locticians
I have so many ppl on my other pages like IG Facebook etc that post a lot of videos. Now they are giving away free game so my question is would you rather get free game and no communication or pay a few dollars and have consistent communication? I remember when ppl prided themselves on going to a class so they could brag and raise prices because they leveled up.

Wow
So I recently had a client with mature locs that were thick and created from the braid method. He had a complaint that was very valid and seem to strike a nerve every time he looked at his locs. LINT!! The silent killer. Do you have lint? For how long have you had lint in your locs? When starting locs you have to be sure to keep lint out of the mix. Growing lint within the loc becomes apart of the loc and trying to get it out will destroy your loc. Well he did just that, made him so mad that he tried to get the lint out of every loc and instead of a simple retwist and style he had to take a venture on the cruise of loc maintenance ship which can cost an unruly amount. One way to keep lint out would be to use a silk bonnet or even a loc sock found at your local hair store. How did you keep lint from embedding into your locs?

Smelly
Maybe you were at someone’s house that smoke cigarettes and the aroma is still in your hair. Well there is a way to get rid of that. One, you could shampoo but you probably don’t want to do that unless it’s time or Two, invest in loc perfume you just mist it on and poof the smell is gone. You could also use your daily perfume if in a rush.

Sleeping on a thought
Why wouldn’t one just not comb their hair? Wouldn’t that also give them locs?
