🎤Welcome to the Voice Power Coach Community! 🎤 This is your one stop shop for everything regarding improving the power, clarity and confidence of your voice. If you want to boost your communication skills, you've come to the right place. ☺️ A little bit about me... I’ve been behind the microphone for most of my life, starting in radio broadcasting and media production in the 1970’s and now a very busy freelance voice artist and vocal trainer based in the UK. My colleague Mark Laxton and myself started writing, filming and producing training courses about the voice about 20 years ago; we’ve now trained over 175,000 students around the world and have created 33 courses that get very high ratings and feedback to help people improve their voices and communications skills as well as train voice actors. 💡 How this community works... As well as a platform where you can learn to develop a strong, confident voice with the courses in the CLASSROOM section, the idea is that you are very free to post and comment on anything voiceover related and we can all help each other. Maybe you need to improve your voice and confidence in your work, or to make new friends in your leisure time. Is this too good to be true?
Hi everyone, Just quick question, as I’ve been offered a role that sounds almost too good to be true. Earlier this week, I received an email from a company called Nova Publishing, asking for a voiceover for a project. I replied to them earlier this morning, asking for further details, and I’ve just received the follow up email, describing the project. The production that they need help with, is for a Spotify immersive drama with a final fee of $2,500. The creative director has offered me this role without asking for an audition or about the equipment that I use to record. I’m extremely suspicious of this too good to be true offer, and wanted to know if this was, indeed, a scam (possibly a AI scam), or if anyone had heard and worked with Nova Publishing before? Just came across this file crisscross in the "Create a Home Studio" course. In the pdf files, "How to Survive Directed Sessions" pops up vice the intended file, "PDF - Your Home Studio."
