What To Actually Hand Off First
So you are sold on getting a VA. Good. Now the question that freezes everybody... "What do I even give them?" This is where most people stall out. They know they need help but they cannot picture letting go of anything. So they do nothing. .....Classic. Here is how to break it... For one week, write down every task you touch. Everything. The posting, the replying, the research, the scheduling, the list building, the follow ups, the stuff you keep "meaning to get to." Then mark three columns. Stuff only YOU can do. Stuff someone else could do with instructions. Stuff that is pure busywork. Everything in those last two columns is VA work. And I promise you it is most of the list. The first things to hand off are almost always the same... Chasing and replying to DMs and comments. Building and cleaning lists of people. Research. Scheduling content. Following up with people who went quiet. None of that needs YOU. It needs a reliable human with a clear checklist. What you keep is the stuff with your face and your voice on it. The relationships. The vision. The CALLS that only you can make. The mistake is handing off the wrong thing first. People try to give away the hard, judgment heavy stuff on day one, it goes sideways, and they decide "VAs do not work." Start with the easy, repeatable, drain-you tasks. Build trust.
