3.3 — Passwords, Logins & Access Management | Newbie VA Course
One of the most critical (but overlooked) parts of VA work is handling access securely.Mistakes here lead to chaos or worse — losing control of client data.
Best practices:
  • Use a password manager like LastPass, Bitwarden, or 1Password
  • Request “item-level” access rather than sending plain passwords
  • Create a "credentials index" with links, descriptions, and status
  • Review and revoke access if a project ends or changes
💡 Treat client access management as part of your professional trust. It speaks louder than any portfolio.
💬 Let’s Talk
Have you ever used a password manager? If yes, what do you like about it?If not, what’s holding you back?
