START HERE 🌴 - Welcome to Vagabond Photography
Before you start watching lessons, I want you to know one thing: This isn’t Netflix for photographers. There’s a ton to learn here, but the goal isn’t to finish every video.The goal is to shoot. So your first Vagabond mission is simple: Post ONE photograph you’ve created that feels the most like YOU. Not your most popular photo. Then tell us: 1. Where are you from? 2. What do you love photographing? 3. What’s currently stopping you from shooting as much as you want? Don’t overthink it. Post the photo, introduce yourself, then go welcome two other people in the community. If you’re still learning your camera, start with Photography 101. If you already know the fundamentals, skip it and go straight to whatever is currently holding you back. There are no gold stars for watching lessons you don’t need 😂 Learn what you need. Introduction post- Josh Plunkett (PurePlunkett)
What's up everyone! I'm Josh and I've been a Vagabond for about 6 years now. I can't even begin to describe what Vagabond has done for me as a photographer and I wanted to build this community to help other photographers and Vagabonds connect, grow, create, and travel just like I have over the years! I'm originally from Kansas City, Missouri, but I call the world my home. I mostly shoot portraits and love bringing out a persons authenticity in a photo. I also love to shoot messy textured shoots that make you feel something. Lately, i've been working on capturing more of a scene with the model in it to tell a story as I always tend to just capture the models face and body more than the actual scene. Problems of being a portrait guy I guess 😂 Here's on of my favorite photos that I believe kind of makes me feel the most. I love texture and messy portraits that show a little emotion. Cant wait to connect with more Vagabonds out there and if you're new, welcome to the community! 🫶🏼
