I just wanted to share something that I grew up with that probably had a place in my mind taking us where we have been going.
This is 1985.
To put it into perspective, here is what life looked like when 46 of the world's biggest music icons gathered in one room:
- No internet existed for the public.
- Home computers were incredibly rare luxuries.
- No modern cell phonesβonly ultra-wealthy people had "car phones" bolted inside their vehicles.
- No streamingβyou waited for the radio or bought the vinyl.
- Windows 1.0 and the NES just launched.
It took massive coordination to bring these artists together without the internet or smartphones.
