Hey all,
New here to the community, happy to be here to learn how to get better at Upwork since I just started using it.
So far I've gotten fast results - was able to land 3 clients in my first 19 days on the platform. I'm excited to get some good reviews and start earning badges and more social proof on the profile.
The only issues I have at the moment is how to switch from paid jobs to retainers. I'm in the middle of fulfilling for the clients I do have and wondering how I'll eventually convert them - any tips would be helpful 🙏
What has been easy for me is finding the jobs. I'm really into building workflows and managed to put one together that scrapes jobs, filters based on my set criteria, and notifies me when relevant ones pop up.
Setting it up this way allows me to only see and apply to the most relevant ones for my skills and get proposals out within hours of the job posting.
So far I've learned that proposal submission speed is a huge advantage and I save so much time not having to browse through jobs directly on the site.
Stay fast, stay diligent, and hold out for good jobs that resonate with your skillset!
