The Unlocked Receipts Rule
Receipts run this room. Plays sharpen this room. Dreams stay out of this room.
A receipt is the physical proof of a finished event. A screenshot of a dashboard. A specific number. A before-and-after. A signed agreement. A client outcome you can point to. A working install with a verified link.
A play is the next move you are working on right now. A play has four parts: a current number, a constraint, an option set, and a measurable next milestone in 30 to 90 days. Plays in progress are welcome here. Plays are different from "intentions" because a play has a tight scope and a measurable result; an intention does not.
A dream is the destination. The revenue number you want to hit. The team you want to build. The lifestyle. The vision. Dreams do NOT get posted here. They get DM'd to me (see the Dreams Surface pinned post).
The two tests for "is this tactical or is this a dream?"
Run BOTH before you post.
Test 1. The number-today test. Can you put a number on it that exists TODAY, in a dashboard, CRM, calendar, or spreadsheet you can see right now? Yes = tactical. No (it's a projection) = dream.
Test 2. The visibility test. Can you SEE the constraint with your eyes today? Yes = tactical. If you have to imagine the future state to know if you have solved it, it's a dream.
What goes where
Wins channel. Only things that already happened. Post the receipt. The screenshot, the number, the before-and-after. We do not celebrate "trying." We celebrate fruit.
The Play channel. Your current 4-part play in progress. State + constraint + options + milestone. The room sharpens what you post here.
AI Workflows channel. Three parts. The exact prompt. The output. The actual outcome. So the room compounds.
Founder Constraints channel. The one thing you are stuck on this week. Name it in one sentence. If you cannot name it in one sentence, you do not understand it yet.
Start Here and Introductions. Day-one intro: current state + biggest constraint + current play. No destinations.
Questions and Hot Seats. Your current play, framed sharp.
Resources. Tools, templates, links worth saving.
General Discussion. Everything else that fits the doctrine.
Plays vs Dreams. The hardest distinction.
Wrong post: "I want to scale to a much bigger revenue number by year-end. What should I do?"
Right post: "I'm at $10k MRR with 8 client slots maxed. Picking between productizing into a $1k/mo recurring, raising prices and waitlisting, or hiring a delivery lieutenant. Which closes the slot constraint fastest without dropping quality below 9/10?"
Same person. Same dream. Different framing. The wrong post broadcasts the destination. The right post surfaces the next play. The room can answer the right one. The room cannot answer the wrong one.
What we do not post here
  • The destination itself. Big revenue numbers, the dream life, the vision.
  • "I want to be doing X in 6 months."
  • Any version of public dream-casting.
  • Identity statements ("I want to be the kind of founder who...").
  • Goals announced as identity.
This is the Need-to-Know doctrine in action. Counter-intentions kill the work when other humans consume the energy. Speaking the dream into the open gives away what should be building the thing.
Move in silence on the dream. Move sharply on the play. Let the receipts speak.
The 3-question test for every number you track
Before you post a number, run this filter:
  1. Does this number tell me to START something this week?
  2. Does this number tell me to STOP something this week?
  3. Does this number tell me to CHANGE something this week?
If all three answers are NO, retire the number. It is a metric, not a KPI. The room is for KPIs that drive decisions, not metrics that fill dashboards.
How to comment
When you see someone else's post, your job is to sharpen their thinking. Not to validate.
  • "What is the use case for that?"
  • "What is the one underlying constraint?"
  • "What have you already tried + what did the data say?"
  • "What is the unknown unknown you haven't surfaced yet?"
  • "What is your current number on that?"
Sharper questions create sharper founders. Validation creates dopamine. We are not here for dopamine.
What gets reposted vs archived
  • Strong receipt + sharp commentary = pin.
  • Receipt without commentary = keep.
  • 4-part play in progress = engage and sharpen.
  • Intention without a play = redirect to "post the play, then ship within 24 to 48 hours."
  • Goal-share or future-state = redirect to the Dreams Surface DM.
This is the room. These are the rails. Run on the rails and the compounding happens.
Welcome in. Let the receipts speak.
