I listened to an interview on Film Courage (if memory serves) and they were discussing pitch decks.
I think it is worth considering these questions as you write your story to clarify your vision.
Below is a template I derived from the interview.

What is it about?
Log Line
Context (Anything about the author they need to know.)
Why me to tell this story?
Why this film?
Why now?
Character
Who are we following and why?
Why this character? Why now?
Why invest in this character’s story?
What is their emotional need and want?
Where does the arc take them?
What is the conflict that drives the story?
