Lets normalized grieve
My aunt always said death skipped you. But it knocked on some else door and got in. I know grieve so well that I can say confidently that every person grieves 5% everyday on average. Even if you have not lost a loved one, friend, fur animal. Grieve still hits you at some extent % wise. If you didn't get the job, you won't able to have the food your heart desire, clothes, clean water or warmth. You name it. When you lose something or someone thats some part of grieve. But We hardly give ourselves the space and time to acknowledge what we've lost and just move on to the next thing or one. Today is a reminder to not only recognize your up and downs but also grieve because its always around. As small or as big give yourself grace and space to heal everyday to fully be their for your heart, soul and body the next day! Ubuntu!

I absolutely loved this movie, podcast and documentary. I would recommend as a stabilizer for someone who is going through something and need the mind to stay on one thing.

Today, I want to share a reality check.
After 11 years of dedication, hard work, relationships, and memories. I was laid off in 5 minutes. What made it even more disheartening wasn’t just losing the job. It was how quickly everything ended. No real goodbye. No moment to acknowledge the people I spent more waking hours with than my own family. Just… done. Somewhere along the way, especially with remote and hybrid work, we’ve lost small but meaningful human moments, closure, appreciation, and the simple act of saying goodbye. Workplaces used to hold core values around connection and respect. Even when someone moved on, there was a handshake, a conversation, or a farewell gathering. Today, many people disappear from teams overnight without the chance to thank colleagues or be thanked. I believe we can do better. Whether we work remotely, hybrid, or in the office, maybe we can start advocating for small changes like allowing employees a proper goodbye, even if it’s just a short Zoom meeting. These moments matter. They honor people, relationships, and shared time. In Ubuntu, we believe “I am because we are.” We’re in this together. Do you think encouraging organizations to create space for meaningful goodbyes could help bring back some humanity into the workplace?
