As exciting as the growth of the account has been, it’s important not to forget one very simple rule in trading: You have to pay yourself! The account reached $104,796, and while it’s tempting to just let it keep running, I’ve taken $54,796 as secured profit and will continue trading from a clean $50K balance. Not a bad milestone at all! What makes this even more surreal is that around six months ago, this account started as just $2,500. Watching it grow from that level to where it is now is something I’m incredibly humbled by. Results like this don’t feel normal, and honestly, they shouldn’t. But I know it's because of consistency, structure, and patience that allowed it to compound. One thing experience teaches you, (often the hard way), is that profits aren’t real until they’re protected. Markets don’t owe us anything. Conditions change, volatility shifts, and sometimes the unexpected happens without warning. There are never guarantees in trading. So rather than chasing bigger numbers on a screen, I’d much rather lock in results that actually improve real life. Money withdrawn brings clarity and it removes pressure, reduces emotional decision-making, and allows trading to continue from a position of fun rather than need. Securing almost $55K profit is an incredible return, and I’m genuinely grateful for the journey and the lessons along the way. Now I have to reset the mindset and not get too carried away. Back to execution. Back to probabilities. Back to letting the system do its work. The real goal is building something sustainable, where trading supports my life, not consumes it.
