🌿 What is EFT Freedom Tapping?
EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a simple practice that combines gentle tapping on specific points on the body with focused attention on what you're feeling or experiencing. The idea is to help your nervous system shift out of a heightened stress response and toward a greater sense of calm, safety and regulation. ✨ Tapping may help you: • Slow down racing thoughts • Reduce feelings of overwhelm • Bring your attention back into the present moment • Create a pause between a trigger and your reaction • Feel more grounded and emotionally settled Think of it as giving your nervous system a moment to pause, breathe and reset. 🧠🌿 It isn't about pretending everything is okay. It's about creating enough space to meet what you're feeling with a little more calm. Sometimes regulation starts with simply acknowledging the feeling. 🤍 I Decided to do it last week when I was feeling like i was exhausted and starting to fight something off. There's an awesome app that teaches you about this modality and how to use it. With guided tapping sessions. You can also go check out the documentary below to learn more about it. https://youtu.be/9UypGSQtzFw?si=twiCmjAj6BUECXro
🫁 Your Nervous System Has a Reset Button
When stress hits, try a physiological sigh: 1. Inhale through your nose. 2. Take a second, smaller inhale. 3. Slowly exhale through your mouth. That second inhale helps expand the lungs, while the long exhale signals your body that it may be safe to slow down. Try 2–3 rounds and notice what changes. You don't always need to think your way out of stress. Sometimes, you can breathe your way toward regulation. 🧠🌿
🫁 Your Nervous System Has a Reset Button
🧠 Feeling overwhelmed? Don't “think” your way out of overwhelm, "Breath"your way out of it.
Your nervous system responds to your breathing. Try a physiological sigh whenever stress starts to overwhelm you: 🌬️ Inhale through your nose 🌬️ Take a second, smaller inhale 😮‍💨 Slowly exhale for longer Repeat 2–3 times. That extended exhale can help reduce physiological arousal and bring your system toward a calmer state. Sometimes regulation doesn't require a big intervention. Sometimes it starts with one intentional breath. 🌿 Try it now. Then notice: What changed in your body? And if you want to learn more tools on how to manage your own physiology. Comment CORE and I'll DM you to tell you all about it!
